a non-profit fundraising organization allocating all our
funds to support the children of Sandburg Elementary

Sandburg Foundation to support ongoing programs and to
assist with new enrichment projects. It is only with

that would otherwise not be available to our students.

Who We Are
The Sandburg Foundation is a non-profit
foundation dedicated to providing additional
financial support and programs to
Sandburg Elementary School. Our mission is
to provide a well-rounded educational experience
for our students by raising funds to improve
school site facilities and provide academic
enrichment opportunities. A listing of the Board
Members and their responsibilities can be found

What We Do
We raise
money to give to the school in support
of academic excellence and school
enhancement. The Foundation hosts
programs throughout the school year to
allow our school to earn money. The
Foundation is not in competition with
the PTA. In fact, it was formed to allow
us access to additional unrestricted
funds to assist our school. By charter,
the PTA is limited to fund-raising in
order to support its own programs.
2011-2012 Fundraising Goals
Each year, the Board Members of the
Sandburg Foundation meet with Principal Martin and
teacher representatives to determine how best to meet
the needs of Sandburg Elementary students through the
Foundation's annual fundraising efforts. Parents and
members of the community are invited to attend monthly
Board meetings to discuss this year's goals and
strategies for providing enrichment programs for our
students.

Program
Earn money for

shopping cards to
the local
establishments you
normally shop at and
use the cards
instead of cash to
make your purchases.
Orders will be due
the 15th of every
month. You can pick
up your shopping
cards at the front
of the school,
before or after
school, the 1st
Monday and Tuesday
of every month.

the holidays!
