Q:What programs will the foundation be supporting
this year?
A: The majority of funds raised by the Sandburg
Foundation in the 2007-2008 year will directly impact
our school’s library. Initial plans include
supplementing the inventory of books available for
student use, and a remodel of the library’s interior. As
our current school budget only covers two hours a day
for a librarian’s assistant, the Foundation also hopes
to raise funds for additional library support so that
the school library can remain open during school hours.
Q: What about school
beautification, that was a great way to help!
A: We are working on another beautification day, we
just need to coordinate schedules with other events at
the school. Stay tuned, we plan on calling out the
volunteers to help again. |
