Dear Sandburg
Elementary Families,
The Sandburg
Foundation is a non-profit, charitable organization
dedicated to enriching the educational experience of the
students at our school. It is only with your assistance
that we can provide programs that would otherwise not be
available to our students.
Teachers and
administrators at Sandburg work hand-in-hand with the
Foundation to help bridge the gap between state funding
and the financial demands of providing an enriched
educational environment. Through the generosity of
parents, grandparents, and friends of the school, over
the past four years the Foundation has been able to
provide the following programs:

A complete
library renovation including yearly new books and
material

A new
computer lab with video projector, screen and 28
brand new networked computers

A part-time
literacy consultant, Ms. Debbie Molina

PAWS
Character Tiger Mascot
-
Field trips,
classroom supplies and classroom enrichment programs
-
Chinese New
Year Dance performance
-
After school
enrichment classes (PE, Spanish, Drama,
Self-Defense, Chess, etc.)
-
New for
2010 and returning for 2011 A Physical
Education Instructor, Coach Sean Cahill

New for
2010 and returning for 2011 YMCA Playground
Partnering for lunch recess
We are asking for
your help by contributing a tax-deductible donation to
our Annual Giving Campaign. We encourage you to

provide educational enrichment for our children.
Donations can be made in two ways:
Donations at all
levels are deeply appreciated. Contributions can be made
monthly or a one-time donation can be made at the
beginning of the 2011-12 school year. Our goal is to
obtain contributions from 100% of the Sandburg families
for this Annual Giving Campaign. All contributions, no
matter how small, will help and go directly to support
Sandburg Elementary.
