2026-2027 Board Members
President: Kimmy Lee - Mom of 4th and 6th grader: “Five years ago, I would have never thought I would be here in this role for the Foundation. I made the choice to join this parent volunteer organization by taping running club tokens from home. With a full-time job and after school activities, it may seem like making time for the board and volunteering is impossible but we appreciate and encourage all and every contribution and time. “Many hands make light work”. I am proud of being a part of such an amazing community.”
VP: Chelsey Rogers - Mom of 1st and 3rd grader. "Every day, my kids benefit from the incredible programs funded and planned by the Foundation. Whether they are staying active in Run Club, participating in special classroom activities, or enjoying our all-family evening events, the impact is unmistakable. I volunteer and give back because I want these enriching experiences to continue thriving."
VP of Community Engagement: Jane Ung - Mom of a kindergartner: “I was thoroughly impressed by the number of parent volunteers present and their dedication to the school from the beginning. Joining the foundation was intimidating at first but I quickly found everyone to be extremely kind, friendly, and incredibly helpful. My family is so grateful to be a part of such a generous community and witness how the Foundation utilizes it to enrich the Sandburg experience for my child and their peers. I highly recommend volunteering with the Foundation and joining in on a meeting when your schedule allows.”
VP of Academics: Conor Mulvaney - Dad of a kindergartner: “When I joined the Foundation last year I was immediately struck by how friendly the entire group was and how great of a collective benefit the Foundation provides to students. It is inspiring to see a group of parents work hard to provide life long memories for their children.”
Secretary: Mary Hoffman - Mom of a kindergartner and 2nd grader: “It never ceases to amaze me the generosity and kindness our Tiger community has for each other. It’s been a great experience and I enjoy being involved in my kids' school life in a greater capacity. Foundation events bring such happiness and excitement to the students and their families. We appreciate all the support and welcome anyone who would like to become involved!”
Treasurer: Edward Wade - Dad of 3rd grader: “Not only do I enjoy staying informed but being able to benefit the school and all of the students and families positively is what I look forward to the most. The Foundation has been a huge resource of smiling faces that have welcomed me into the Sandburg family. Any amount of support makes a big impact to the kids and our community.”
Financial Secretary: Kayleen Thompson - Mom of 2nd and 4th grader: “The Sandburg Foundation is such a strong community that truly enhances the educational experience for students and organizes events that bring families together. I joined the Foundation because I want my girls to enjoy their years at Sandburg and I know family involvement is key to that success.”
