Dear Sandburg Families,

Our Tigers are starting another exciting school year! What a busy and exciting time for us all! The Sandburg Elementary School Foundation was created in order to provide a supportive and well-rounded experience for all of our Tigers. The Foundation, which is a 100% volunteer non- profit 501(c)3, is helping to start the school year with the upcoming Ice Cream Social, Back to School BINGO, and our morning Run/Walk Club - just to name a few.

Our Foundation supports our Sandburg Tigers by providing academic and enrichment opportunities. In the classroom, we provide enhanced reading programs (Reading Eggs or AR Reader 360) for all students. We also provide in-school enrichments (like yoga or LEGOS) for every class. Additionally, we help sponsor field trips and in-school learning assemblies.
All our efforts are supported by your donations. Our two largest fundraisers are the Jog-A-Thon, in the Spring, and our Annual Giving Campaign, which is happening right now, through September 7*. We also have several small fundraisers throughout the school year including T-shirt sales, Take A Tiger Out events, Corporate Matches, Concessions at events, Box Tops for Education, and more!

So, what IS the Annual Giving Campaign? It's just a fancy name for a fundraiser. That's all.
 
While there is absolutely no obligation to donate, we hope each family will consider donating to the Foundation's Annual Giving Campaign to ensure our mission can be carried out. With your help, we can continue to give our children an amazing school experience!
